Another site update coming

Post by insitu_az »

Two days after finishing the php update and sweating bullets to get our site running again, I get notice that the phpBB software has also been updated and I need to update our site......

I am checking to be sure the new release is stable, but will likely do the upgrade this weekend. During the update, the site will go down for about 30 minutes, so if you see it down, don't be alarmed.

lol...
It took a bit longer than expected, but having figured out how to do it after the php update, it went pretty smoothly. It is a kind of scary process though. You have to delete all but 4 folders on the site before you can upload the new revision.

There may be an issue with exif function after the update. I notice your gauge photo was turned sideways on the thumbnail, but corrected itself when you go to the enlarged photo. I will keep an eye on that feature, but there is no update on exif planned until the board software is upgraded to version 4. That is probably a couple years in the future.
