What started your Datsun itch

I know we are all from different backgrounds and ages etc but what made us all fall in love with Datsun/Nissan.
For me I am 40 years old and loved watching imsa races in the late 80s on tv.
These cars are the cars I fell in love with!
After I actually could own cars I just always liked Nissan I have owned a 2002 350z, 2005 Altima 3.5 se-r (loved that car), 2012 g37 coupe and now my 78 280z. I love the simplicity of the pre computer age cars but I could see me eventually with a GT-R. Maybe one that was abused that I could work on and get my hands dirty with.
