Making slow but steady progress. Over the last few days I installed a new Lokar accelerator cable, and drained and refilled the differential and transmission with fresh gear oil, GL5 in the diff and GL4 in the trans. I was also able to get the car running off gas from a jar, and subsequently the gas tank. Still have an ignition issue I need to resolve.

At least you're making forward progress! I'm sure you will have it all ironed out soon. Nice work! :)

Progress continues. Waiting on new rear brake cylinders from Rock Auto. Was in the middle of bleeding the brakes when one of the rear cylinders blew out. Clutch is now bled and working well (thanks Ron). Did buy some new shoes for Clarence and hand lettered the white letters to splash it up a little. Also waiting on the carpet which was ordered two weeks ago. It's coming together. Williams car show is the goal.

Good morning today working on Clarence thanks to Ron Q. We were finally able to bleed the brakes after installing new rear brake cylinders. Though I had previously bench bled the brake master, when the rear brake cylinder let go air must have gotten back in the master. Once we bled the master again we were able to re-bleed all four wheels and verify we had a firm pedal and the brakes were working. We were also able to get the car idling nicely today and shifted through all four gears and reverse with the rear end raised up on a jack. I also finished re-building a set of SUs for a customer. Still waiting on new float bowl hoses and clamps.

It is interesting, Randy, that new Ztherapy fuel hoses are not the pre shaped ones anymore, they are straight hoses. I wonder when that changed?

Noticed that in my last couple of orders. So far the straight ones do not seem to kink so I guess they're alright. I have a call in to Bruce to order a bunch of carb parts. I've now got 4-5 sets I'll be rebuilding over the next month.

Randy, that must be a great feeling to have Clarence running good and nearing the end of this project. A serious road test is in your future.

Also it seems like every time you solve a difficult problem, Ron is there!

Yes, Ron's been a big help. I try to reciprocate with his projects as much as he'll let me  Really just two more things to take the first test drive. Need to get the ignition to work off the key and have exhaust system installed from the manifold back. Still lots of other things I want to do but they can all come in good time.
